3-days free: World Vital Records

 FamilySearch affiliate, WorldVitalRecords.com has announced a free, 3-day promotion for all its historical and genealogical records beginning Tuesday, 11 August 2009 through Thursday, 13 August 2009. The promotion celebrates the largest single-day release of records since the site launched in 2006.

    Once I went to the page and searched an ancestor, in order to see his records I had to choose a membership category. That didn't sound 'free' for three days. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks.

    same here tried to access some of the information and it wants u to join with a plan

    You probably have to call and cancel your "free" membership or they'll start charging you after 3 days. I'm not going to sign up - I usually forget to cancel things like this!
