Are you one of those people who feel like your ancestor must have come from another planet? One of my readers found evidence of his alien ancestry in the 1940 census:

ReplyDeleteMy grandfather had one who told the enumerator that the kid's name was Turrel. (That's Tirrill with a southern something. At least I could figure out who they meant!)
