Correction to Thursday's Story

Thursday's story has been corrected to say:

To be fair, I should point out that AncestryDNA’s number does not include those acquired from Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation (over which I am still sorely displeased that Sorenson could sell my DNA and accompanying pedigree).

  1. Wow! I would make a big fuss. That just doesn't seem ethical. I would fuss long and hard demand some kind of retribution, and I am not being facetious!

    1. As I recall I had to sign an agreement before Ancestry could get my DNA from Sorenson.

  2. It has been years since I contributed my sample of blood (and also convinced my daughter-in-law to do likewise) to the Sorenson project. My genealogy pedigree was included. I had the impression then that the sampling would be utilized for the purposes of generalized scientific research. I never received an invitation to sign anything over to Ancestry, unless it was in very small print!

  3. I sure don't remember any blood. I did a saliva swab.
